Even though I work specifically in Albuquerque NM I always enjoy pulling my camera out especially when traveling to my home state.
Echo Park Lake is located in the heart of Los Angeles, California sitting upon 33 acres give or take of wonderous grounds. Echo Park was first established in 1892 long before Hollywood even became Hollywood. I found it quite interesting that Joseph Henry Tomlinson chose the name for the park because of echoes he heard during the construction.
You can see this beautiful park in many movies like The Fast and The Furious, Training Day and the most recent film A Star is Born.
During the summer months you can visit the boathouse restaurant and paddle around the lake in swan shaped paddle boats. If you make your visit in July they host there annual Lotus Festival where they celebrate the blooms of Echo Park Lake’s beautiful floating flowers. My absolute favorite part of Echo Park Lake is the 1 mile long loop paved walking trail around the lake where you can see all kinds of wildlife and just enjoy the serenity even knowing your in the heart of the LA. @ Echo Park Lake
